I built this because I was tired of exploring new places with no one to share them with.

Viamour started with a move. I relocated 1,642 miles across the country to make Phoenix, AZ home in 2019, and when I got here I didn't know a single person. I learned how to build a life somewhere from scratch. Then I started traveling internationally, and that same feeling showed up again in every new city: surrounded by places worth exploring, with no one to explore them with.

My dream is to become a digital nomad, to work from anywhere and actually belong to the places I land in, not just pass through them. Viamour is the app I wished existed every time I did. Every “travel social app” I tried was either a dating app wearing a backpack or an events board nobody used.

So I'm building it myself. I'm teaching myself software development with Claude Code, one screen at a time. That means Viamour isn't a company with a team behind it, it's one person who wanted this to exist badly enough to learn how to make it. It moves at its own pace. It also means that when you report a bug or send an idea, you're talking to the person who actually builds it, not a support queue.
